Our infant was already established at another childcare provider when we go the news that there was a spot for us at the Pease facility. I am so glad we took the plunge and made the switch. I truly feel it was the best decision my husband and I ever made. We are thrilled and could not be happier with Great Bay Kids!
Of course the new facility is light, bright and welcoming. However, it is the incredible staff that makes GBK extraordinary. From the front desk greeter to the chef, the entire staff seems to make an effort to get to know each child by name. The lead teachers and floaters are so loving and attentive. When I come to pick up my baby, the adults are always either on the floor interacting with the kids or engaged with them in some way.
I go to work each morning, completely stress and guilt free. I know my son is being well cared for and having a wonderful time interacting with the kids and adults. My husband and I have NO anxiety at drop off or pick up! In fact, sometimes when I pick up my baby, I get the sense he’d like to stay a bit longer! It’s a pretty good feeling when your biggest worry is that your child has more fun at childcare than he does with you! As a working mom, there is nothing better than knowing that your child is safe and HAPPY when you can’t be with him. Put yourself on the waitlist today!

My son Brian is a 6 year old in the Action Club Junior program at the Main Street School. He has actually been in a Great Bay Kids’ program continuously for nearly three years. He absolutely loves this program. He feels so positively that he frequently wants to arrive early in the morning and stay late into the afternoon. He has many friends he enjoys playing with. He adores the teachers and staff.
It is a great comfort to me that he is so well cared for here. I can not say enough about the caring teachers. They are always kind and loving with the children. They are attentive and very well organized. There is always a great supervision ratio staff to students. They are energetic, compassionate and helpful. I can attest to the universal happiness and joy the children express whenever I pick up my son.
In short, I would give this program my highest recommendation without hesitation. I feel lucky to have such an excellent program available to my son.

Our daughter has been attending Great Bay Kids’ Company for almost 2 years and she loves it. She thrives on the structure – knowing what’s coming next, what all the rules are, what’s expected – and really enjoys all the activities and projects they work on in the classrooms. She has made wonderful friends, and has learned valuable social and problem-solving skills.
We love Great Bay for many other reasons, as well. There are themes every week – usually based on a letter of the alphabet – and all activities and projects are related to this theme. This enhances the theme, and gives the kids the chance to really understand what they’re being taught, and how it fits into the world around them. We love the openness of the school itself; kids can see each other, know that they’re part of the bigger school, and get to know each other and all the teachers. This creates a very welcoming atmosphere at the school.
The field trips are wonderful, too. Whether it’s just a walk to the town playground or an apple-picking trip, each trip is fun and educational. We really appreciate the monthly trip to Riverwoods the most, though. It’s a wonderful experience for both the kids at Great Bay and the elderly at Riverwoods. Some of our daughter’s favorite days are the ones where she gets to go to Riverwoods!
From the gently structured “school” days, to the cool water days in the summer, our daughter loves everything about Great Bay Kids’. We have had a wonderful experience, and can’t wait to send our son there, too, as so as he’s old enough!

We have had at least one child enrolled at the Newmarket center since May of 2004 and couldn't be happier. We first came to GBKC because their location would allow our son to be transported to the local elementary school. Our son had been in the care of a close personal friend as the only child she was caring for, so we entered GBKC on the first day as timid and worried parents. Wondering how a child would fair in a traditional day care setting and concern about who would be caring for him are concerns of all first time parents, but we felt especially concerned due to his speech delay. The outstanding staff at the center made us feel immediately at ease and more comfortable with the transition. Since that day there has not been a single moment that we have questioned the staff's concern for and love of children. We can confidently say that GBKC has completely earned our trust.
I think it's also important to share that as an educator, I understand the importance of educating the whole child and maintaining strong communication with parents. GBKC provides direct and indirect instruction for children to enhance not only their cognitive skills, but also their gross and fine motor, language, social/ emotional, and self- help skills. To keep students interested and motivated, teachers design and implement units and daily lessons that are developmentally appropriate. Creative and relevant activities are in place and are communicated in a variety of ways to parents through monthly, weekly, and daily updates. Staff members have always been available to discuss any questions or concerns about our children and complete formal evaluations of our children's developmental progress.
The education that GBKC is providing to the students is evident in several settings, not only at Great Bay Kids. When our son started to attend public kindergarten at Newmarket Elementary School he was invited to participate in an advanced reading group. We were very pleased, though not surprised, that 80% of this advanced group was children who had previously attended Great Bay Kids. He also participates in our town’s recreational sports and several children from Great Bay Kids have been complimented for their listening skills and their excellent manners. It is so refreshing to know that the teachers at the center value good citizenship and education.
